PRINTER'S PROOF OF OVERPRINT FRAME
FOURTH OVERPRINTING - FINAL STATE
Before starting the last overprinting in November, 1893, the printer made another proof
of the overprint frame. If proofs were made of the second and third printings, they have
not been discovered if any have survived. Only one overprint proof sheet has been
discovered from the fourth overprinting and has since been separated. A photograph was
made before the separation. On the image of this photograph, the rightward shift in the
word "Provisional" in positions 47-49 is noticeable.
