OVERLAND, Mahoney type 366; For designating letters to go overland before the
overland coach was the preferred route, 1859. Note the smaller "R."

September 23, 1864
|
FOREIGN, Mahoney type 315; Used to designate incoming letters from foreign countries
without postal treaties. Used in error on Hawaii mail in September, 1864.

April 17, 1868
|
HAWAIIAN STEAM SERVICE MH # 442 Used on steamer mail under the 1867
contract; believed to be a private mark of the steamship line.
Usage: November 15, 1867 to December 10, 1869.
